Woman defends decision to tattoo boyfriend’s name on forehead, says it’s an expression of love
A woman who decided to tattoo her boyfriend’s name on her forehead is standing by her choice, asserting that true love means being willing to make such a permanent commitment.
Ana Stanskovsky, who immortalized Kevin’s name on her face, maintains that it’s a genuine gesture of love. However, reactions online have been less supportive, with many calling it “foolish” and predicting that her “future partner will likely not appreciate it.”
Ana Stanskovsky, originally from Poland, shocked her 588,000 TikTok followers with a post revealing her dramatically altered face.
In a TikTok video that quickly went viral, Stanskovsky is captured sitting in a chair while undergoing a procedure on her forehead.
The video titled “my new face tattoo” has garnered 18.3 million views since its initial upload on November 6, showcasing Stanskovsky receiving her boyfriend’s name, “Kevin,” tattooed in large black cursive letters across her forehead.
The clip zooms in as the artist carefully tattoos over the stencil spelling out “Kevin,” capturing Stanskovsky wincing in discomfort.
Upon completion, she stands to admire her bold declaration of affection in the mirror. “Finished? Let’s see. Oh my God, I love it. Wow, Kevin’s going to adore it,” she exclaims.
Ending the video, she turns to her followers, asking, “Do you think he’ll like it?”
In response, one commenter jests, “He’ll love it! But your next boyfriend might not.” Another adds, “I don’t know who Kevin is, but wherever you are… Run!”
As the video circulates among the bewildered social media community, warnings of potential regrets flood in.
“Fantastic choice here. I can’t imagine you ever regretting this,” one supporter remarks.
In response to the overwhelming suggestions of future regret, Stanskovsky defiantly responds with another clip, asserting that she will never regret her Kevin tattoo.
Stanskovsky responds, “I know many of you have said I’ll regret this, what if we break up, and all sorts of negative things, but I want to make it clear: this is how I express my feelings. If I love someone, this is what I do.” She adds, “I love it, and I’ll never regret it. How could I? It’s beautiful.”
“A handwritten note is a precious way to express your feelings,” jokes one online observer.
Despite her explanation, fans remain skeptical, with many assuming her extravagant declaration of love must be a prank.
“Wait. Wasn’t this all just a joke?” questions one user, while another remarks, “I kept waiting for them to reveal it was just a prank, but it never happened.”
Undeterred, the influencer insists that every time she looks in the mirror, she feels “in love.”
“I’m in love with the tattoo, and I’m in love with my boyfriend,” she asserts. “I believe if you truly love someone, you have to show it, you have to prove it… So, if your girlfriend isn’t willing to tattoo your name on her face, maybe you need to find a new girlfriend, because I don’t think she loves you.”
Shocked by her statement, users quickly jump in, urging her to reconsider her extreme displays of affection.
“‘If [your] girlfriend doesn’t want your name on her forehead, she doesn’t love you,'” quotes one netizen, offering advice to Kevin: “Dump her ASAP.”
Given the uncertainty of relationships, one netizen raises the question, “What if he breaks up with you?”
Stanskovsky responds confidently, “If we break up, I’ll just have to find myself a different Kevin.”
However, one commenter offers a different perspective: “It would be better if you wrote ‘I am stupid’ on it.”
As of now, there’s been no response from Kevin.
What are your thoughts on this woman getting her boyfriend’s name tattooed across her forehead?
While expressing love is important, there are certainly better ways to do so. If a grand gesture is desired, perhaps a smaller, less visible tattoo would be more prudent?
