Tina Turner’s Family Sends Cease And Desist To The View: “Stop Using Her Music, She Wasn’t a Fan” See the continuation in the first comment 👇
It only took the producers of “The View” a few hours to decide the show would leverage the passing of Tina Turner as a means to boost ratings. Following the solemn announcement of Ms. Turner’s passing, the hosts of the show emerged from backstage wearing outfits reminiscent of Thunderdome. They then made their way to the stage, dancing to Lizzo’s rendition of “Proud M
“The entire display was in poor taste,” remarked Thomas Bagger, attorney for the Turner family. “They had no authorization to stage an homage-themed show without seeking permission beforehand.”
The show argues they are entitled to use the music since it was a track famously covered by Tina Turner, not originally her own, and she wasn’t featured in the vocals.
“Nevertheless, we find it offensive that they mimicked her appearance and sported Thunderdome wigs,” asserted Bagger. “It’s evident they were seeking to capitalize on her persona.”
Rumors circulating online suggest a rift between Whoopi and Tina dating back to the 1980s over a dispute regarding the purchase of In-N-Out Burger, after which they allegedly ceased communication.
While the validity of this rumor is questionable, there’s a strong likelihood that Turner preferred her burgers with extra onions.
“Onions add a delightful flavor. It’s understandable why an icon like Tina Turner would enjoy them,” remarked Bagger. “Here’s to onions, and to the greatness of America. Amen to that.”
