Johnny Wactor, a cherished star of the soap opera “General Hospital,” was tragically killed in Los Angeles on Saturday after heroically intervening to protect his female co-worker from armed car thieves.
Johnny had been working a side job at a rooftop bar and was leaving with his co-worker around 3:25 a.m. on West Pico Boulevard and South Hope Street. Upon spotting three masked men near his vehicle, he initially assumed his car was being towed.
Approaching the men to inquire about the situation, Johnny soon realized that his car wasn’t being towed when one of the individuals brandished a gun. Displaying remarkable bravery, Johnny positioned himself between the gunman and his colleague, taking a bullet to his chest in the process.
