People are saying the headlights are a serious hazard
LED Headlights Are Blinding Drivers
There is an issue on the road that many are aware of, yet it appears to be largely unaddressed. Upon conducting a survey, it was revealed that a majority of drivers perceive LED headlights as excessively bright.
Complaints about this matter are frequently heard in informal conversations. Undoubtedly, headlight glare has emerged as a significant concern, with 85% of survey respondents indicating that the glare is escalating.
A potentially more astonishing finding emerged: 89% of respondents voiced their concern that LED headlights were excessively bright. These headlights are becoming increasingly prevalent, particularly in new vehicles, gradually supplanting traditional halogen bulbs.
While the driver of a car equipped with LED headlights may benefit from the enhanced visibility provided by the focused beam, individuals approaching from the opposite direction or those with such vehicles behind them may experience a detrimental impact on their driving experience.
A study commissioned by RAC revealed that two-thirds of drivers surveyed reported having to reduce their speed due to the glare from headlights. Many perceive LED headlights as so luminous that they believe they contribute to accidents on the road.
