The Pit Bull mix named Mary Jane was a rescue dog. Miley gave her a new lease on life, and Mary Jane sure did know how to express her gratitude; by being the best dog one could ever ask for.
The singer of “Midnight Sky” revealed that her cherished canine companion received a cancer diagnosis more than a year ago. Taking to Instagram, she expressed, “Anyone acquainted with me, even in passing, knows that my closest companion in the world is a rescued pit bull mix named Mary Jane,” preceding her discussion about the dog’s health challenge.
The vocalist proceeded in her message by reflecting on the tendency to overlook and underappreciate life’s small wonders, emphasizing the importance of gratitude. She expressed that despite the ease of taking blessings for granted, she remained ever mindful of the profound gift Mary Jane had represented in her life.
“In her final moments, as she released her last breath, I offered endless thanks for her profound impact and unwavering presence. She was more than a friend or kin; she embodied something beyond definition, something entirely novel and distinct.”
“The depth of our connection transcended words. It was a celestial bond,” the singer expressed. “Throughout our journey, we’ve consciously avoided causing each other harm through our words or actions. Not once have we allowed anger to linger unresolved before bedtime. Our loyalty has remained steadfast without wavering.”
Mary Jane consistently provided solace whenever Miley’s heart endured fractures, offering healing with unwavering support.
The vocalist ensured she exhausted all efforts to offer Mary Jane a life devoid of pain during her final days, to the best of her ability.
“Even though Mary Jane is now free from pain, I am not. That’s the epitome of love,” she elaborated. “Mary Jane’s departure was characterized by dignity, grace, serenity, and strength.”
