Willie Nelson, at the age of 89, is currently on a nationwide tour with the Nelson Family band and remains in excellent health. Earlier this year, he disclosed for the first time that he had been concealing a significant health concern.
During the May tour last year, Willie Nelson disclosed that a member of the Willie Nelson Family Band had tested positive for COVID-19. Consequently, Nelson and his band opted to delay their headline appearance at Jazz Fest. Recently, the public was enlightened about the identity of the enigmatic band member, following Nelson’s recent confession that he was, in fact, impersonating the part.
The New York Times reported that the 89-year-old country music veteran was nodding off on his tour bus before heading to Nashville. He reportedly experienced breathing issues upon waking in the middle of the night. The fast PCR test results indicated a favorable detection of the COVID-19 virus in Willie’s case. This is compounded by the fact that he had recently celebrated his 89th birthday, rendering him more vulnerable to the virus’s nuances.
