However, it may prove to be a challenging path forward, as a royal expert now claims that Meghan has two demands, including a “groveling apology,” before considering any reconciliation.

Throughout these revelations, Prince William and Kate Middleton chose not to publicly address Harry’s comments. However, according to Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, Prince William is adamant about receiving a sincere apology from Harry before engaging in any conversation.
Seward emphasized William’s disappointment in Harry’s decision to turn his visit to see their father into a PR opportunity, stressing that William expects Harry to demonstrate gentlemanly behavior and apologize for his past remarks.
She added that William may be privately frustrated, having supported Harry throughout the years, only to see Harry prioritize his own agenda during a challenging time for their family.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle both attended Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral, but the Duchess did not accompany her husband to King Charles’ coronation last year.

However, is a reconciliation between the two couples even possible? Royal expert Tom Quinn believes it is unlikely.
Quinn stated to the Mirror that Meghan felt Kate didn’t offer enough support during her time as a working royal. He also suggested that Kate, as an outsider herself, should have bonded with Meghan, who also came from outside the royal family.
“Meghan doesn’t feel guilty about Kate, because she feels that Kate should’ve been the one person in the royal family to back her against every difficulty,” Quinn told the Mirror. “Apart from anything else, Meghan knew Kate was an outsider, so she just couldn’t understand why Kate always towed the royal line rather than supporting her, Meghan, the other outsider.”
Despite any rifts, Harry and Meghan did extend their best wishes to Kate Middleton after her abdominal surgery. However, reports suggest that the couple learned about Kate’s cancer diagnosis through the news rather than directly from her.
Some argue that Kate Middleton’s health crisis could serve as an opportunity to reconcile her and Meghan Markle. However, Quinn contends that their relationship has deteriorated too much to repair.
“Kate’s cancer diagnosis has been a real shock for Meghan, but she can see no way to patch up the relationship simply because it has become so poisonous,” he added. “She also doesn’t want people saying that she is trying to make things up with Kate just because Kate is ill. Meghan still feels Kate was in the wrong and should apologize before they try to build bridges.”
Regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s potential visit to the UK, Prince Harry recently made a brief trip after King Charles received his cancer diagnosis. However, Prince William did not join their meeting at Sandringham, highlighting the strained relationship between the brothers.
As for the Sussexes’ upcoming plans, the anniversary event for the Invictus Games will be held on May 8 at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London. Prince Harry, the founder of the Invictus Games, is set to attend, and Meghan is listed as a guest. However, her appearance is still uncertain, as she is marked as “to be confirmed.”

In another interview with the Mirror, the royal expert claimed that Prince William and Kate Middleton “suggested” that Harry and Meghan Markle should bring their children with them for the Invictus Games event.
“William and Kate have suggested that Meghan and Harry bring the children and that the two couples and their families try to make up, but the suggestion is not leading anywhere so far,” Quinn told the Mirror.
However, Meghan’s concerns about her children’s safety in the UK seem to have caused a change in plans. According to a source cited by OK! Magazine, while Meghan initially hoped to accompany Harry to the UK in May, she now hesitates to bring Archie and Lilibet due to safety concerns.
But child safety isn’t Meghan’s only worry about returning to the UK. The same source mentioned that Meghan doesn’t want to revisit England under circumstances where she feels unwelcome and anxious. Meanwhile, Harry grapples with supporting his wife while also maintaining ties with Kate Middleton.
Prince William’s reported anger towards his brother, especially regarding disclosures about the royal family in Harry’s book, exacerbates the situation. William’s unwillingness to engage with Harry further underscores the strained relationship.
Despite hopes that Kate Middleton’s illness might bring the families together, the expert emphasized that Meghan’s lingering grievances obstruct any meaningful reconciliation. While there’s been a suggestion for Meghan and Harry to bring their children and attempt to mend fences, Quinn indicated that the idea hasn’t gained traction, especially given Meghan’s reservations.
“There has been a shift here since Kate’s illness. Harry and Meghan do feel they need to extend an olive branch, but Meghan’s sense of grievance is still preventing anything really meaningful happening. Illness often brings warring family members together, and there have been hopes at Kensington Palace that Kate’s illness might do it,” Quinn elaborated, highlighting the complexity of the situation.
