Imagine if a colossal 12-foot python suddenly emerges from your toilet…
This surreal scenario unfolded in Thailand, where pictures of the incident have since gone viral. In Samut Prakan, Thailand, a family experienced sheer terror on March 17 when they discovered a python slithering up from their toilet bowl.
Promptly following the alarming discovery, a wildlife team was urgently called upon to assist in extracting the 12-foot-long reptile ensnared within the toilet’s plumbing system. Suwi Paramas, a housewife, recounted the harrowing moment when, while washing her hands after using the restroom, a massive yellow-green reptile appeared in the bathroom, sending shivers down her spine.
Filled with dread, Suwi fled the room, her piercing screams alerting her husband and brother-in-law to the imminent danger. They swiftly contacted emergency services, who promptly responded to the distress call.
The wildlife crew employed specialized instruments to secure the snake, as captured in video footage. Despite their efforts, extracting the python proved to be a daunting task. With the consent of the family, a decision was made to break the ceramic basin, even with the snake still lodged in the curved section of the plumbing, known as the u-bend.
The snake’s sizable girth posed a challenge, complicating efforts to pull it straight out of the hole. In an effort to safeguard both the snake and the plumbing system, the wildlife team meticulously dismantled the pipework to rescue the trapped serpent.
Thankfully, the operation concluded without incident, with the rescuers ensuring the snake’s safe return to its natural habitat. Without the swift and professional intervention, the outcome could have been far more dire.
