Woman Takes Time Off From Work To Breastfeed Boyfriend Every 2 Hours
Note: This story, originally reported in June 2016, is being republished.
An Atlanta woman, Jennifer Mulford, has made headlines for her decision to take a break from her job as a bartender to breastfeed her boyfriend, Brad Leeson, every two hours. Mulford claims she is attempting to create “a magical bond that only breastfeeding can achieve.”
While Mulford’s arrangement may seem unconventional, it falls under the umbrella of what’s known as an adult breastfeeding relationship (ABR), a practice that has been reported on before. According to the Sun, websites like Sex Within Marriage dedicate pages to the phenomenon, suggesting that men involved in ABR relationships often feel “calmed and soothed” by breastfeeding, and that it fosters a deeper bond within the relationship.
Mulford admits she hadn’t heard of ABR until she came across it online. “When I read about the bond breastfeeding could create between two people, I was envious,” she told the Sun. “I have always enjoyed my breasts being touched during sex more than anything else, so I knew I would enjoy it.”
After unsuccessful attempts to find a partner interested in an ABR relationship through personal ads, dating sites, and Craigslist, Mulford reconnected with Leeson, an ex-boyfriend from her school days.
