Isabelle Strahan is currently undergoing her first round of chemotherapy for brain cancer. The 19-year-old, daughter of Good Morning America co-anchor Michael Strahan, has been bravely documenting her battle against cancer through vlogs. Her journey began after she underwent surgery to remove a large medulloblastoma in her cerebellum last October.
In one of her recent videos, Isabelle shared the challenges she faced during a three-day hospital stay. She explained, “I’ve just been getting a lot of fevers. If you get a fever over 100.4, you have to go in.” During her hospitalization, she underwent a blood transfusion, an MRI, and had her chemo port cleaned. She candidly shared how the experience was “really painful,” and expressed her relief upon leaving the hospital by writing “Get me outta here!” in the video.
But less than 12 hours later, Isabelle found herself back in the hospital.
“I catfished everyone,” she joked in her vlog. “I got a fever of 102 and had to come back in. So we’re trying to figure out what’s wrong but no one can find out what’s wrong.”
“This is the worst fever I think I’ve had,” she shared. “I don’t feel as horrible as I did the first time. I just have a really bad headache so I thought nothing of it and now we’re in the ER.”
“I don’t feel great. I don’t feel horrible,” Isabelle said. “I’ve felt worse but I don’t feel good. I feel like I can barely walk now.” Her father’s girlfriend, Kayla Quick, can be heard saying in the background how Isabelle had been walking in the hospital just two days ago, to which Isabelle commented, “It’s really declined.”
