ABC Won’t Renew The View Next Year: “They’ve Lost Their Audience”
It was inevitable. Over the recent years, The View has experienced a decline in ratings while becoming increasingly controversial and hard to digest. Whoopi Goldberg, the show’s leading figure, was deemed the most unpopular individual in the entertainment sphere.
“We cannot afford to let them retain that prime time slot,” remarked Executive Content Director Joe Barron. “Especially with Roseanne Barr poised to debut at the same hour next autumn. She’ll overshadow us completely.”
There’s no official announcement yet regarding the show’s replacement, but there’s been speculation about adopting a more food-centric and less politically charged theme for a change. “Given that it’s right before lunch,” remarked Shirly from Pahrump, Nevada, “It would be refreshing to have some recipes instead of a Joe Biden Love-In.”
Shirly raises a pertinent point. According to a survey, 78 percent of respondents expressed a preference for watching paint dry over the current format of the show.
This survey was conducted by the Citizens United National Trust Society and sampled 1500 Americans over the age of 65 with conservative political inclinations who are fans of Sean Hannity. The margin of error for the survey is 31 percent.
For those craving food-related content, Rosie’s new show might be worth checking out. There’s a growing rumor that she’ll be hosting regular visits from Gordon Ramsay, who some believe aligns with their views, thanks to endorsements from our very own Fallis Gunnington.
