A Dairy Queen store is in serious trouble after posting this controversial sign. What makes it even worse for some people? The owner refuses to apologize for it 😳 See the sign in comments👇

A notice posted on the front window of a Dairy Queen restaurant in Kewaskum, Wisconsin, has caught the eye and stirred up discussions across the internet.

The signage boldly highlights the establishment’s disregard for political correctness and draws focus to its frequent use of holiday greetings such as “Merry Christmas,” “Happy Easter,” and “God Bless America.”

On Veterans Day, patrons at the Dairy Queen receive complimentary sundaes, along with expressions of gratitude for their military service, often accompanied by the display of the US flag.

In defense of the sign, restaurant owner Kevin Scheunemann explained that it was erected nearly four years ago to transparently showcase his and the staff’s commitment to serving both God and the nation.

Scheunemann recounted that he posted the sign following a customer’s objection to Christian music playing in the restaurant. Since then, the sign hasn’t sparked any further controversies.

However, the sign gained renewed attention when an Oregonian tourist shared a photo of it on Facebook, expressing concerns about its perceived exclusivity. The post garnered significant attention before being removed.

While some individuals support the message conveyed by the sign, others have taken offense at the person who shared the image and have voiced their opinions accordingly. Nonetheless, local business owners stand by Scheunemann’s decision, asserting that patrons are free to leave if they disagree with the establishment’s principles.

Residents of the small village of Kewaskum appear to interpret the sign as a reflection of the owner’s personal beliefs, accepting it at face value.
In an official statement, Dairy Queen clarified that Scheunemann’s approach is not endorsed by the company, emphasizing that the sign solely reflects the proprietor’s beliefs.
The company reiterated its commitment to ensuring that all franchisees and staff members treat customers with respect and decency, irrespective of their religious beliefs.
