DQ store is in serious trouble after posting this controversial sign. What makes it even worse? The owner refuses to apologize for it 😳 See the sign in comments👇

A sign observed on the front window of a Dairy Queen restaurant in Kewaskum, Wisconsin, has garnered significant attention on the internet. The billboard boldly emphasizes the establishment’s dedication to what some might consider politically incorrect, proudly displaying its frequent use of holiday greetings such as “Merry Christmas,” “Happy Easter,” and “God Bless America.”

In an interview with WDJT-TV, owner Kevin Scheunemann explained that he believed the sign was fitting to display, aiming to be transparent about the owner and staff’s support for God and country.

The sign had been displayed for the past four years without any issues until a recent incident when a customer took a photograph of it and raised a complaint.

According to franchisee Kevin Scheunemann, the owner of the establishment, the picture of the sign was posted on the official Dairy Queen Facebook page last Wednesday by “a student from Oregon,” sparking a significant thread of comments.

According to Scheunemann, the student’s complaint described the “politically incorrect” sign as “extremely offensive” and demanded that the company take action against the franchise owner.

Although the photo garnered significant attention before being deleted, most of the comments were supportive of Scheunemann.

Dairy Queen addressed the controversy with the following statement: “American Dairy Queen Corporation does not encourage our independently owned and operated franchisees to post non-business related messages in their locations or on their external reader boards. This sign expresses the views of this independent owner only and does not speak for ADQ Corporation or any of our other independent franchise owners. We expect our franchisees and employees to treat every person who walks through our doors with the utmost dignity and respect. Nothing less is acceptable.”

Scheunemann asserts that he has no intention of removing the sign, highlighting that the store has become a “significant tourist landmark,” attracting visitors who drive for hours just to capture a photo with the sign.

Interestingly, the decision to display the sign initially stemmed from a customer complaint about Christian music playing inside the store.
