In an Austin, Texas suburb, one man has faced criticism for painting his house a vibrant Pepto-Bismol pink, causing discomfort among some local residents.
While most U.S. neighborhoods operate under a Homeowners Association (HOA), which helps maintain consistency among houses and funds community amenities, resident Emilio Rodriguez intentionally purchased his house in Pflugerville, Texas because it lacks an HOA.
This freedom allowed him to realize his dream of painting everything pink, a decision that has sparked some tensions with his neighbors.
“I love this house. I don’t know why people don’t like it,” Emilio told CBS17.
When Emilio initially bought his house, it was beige. However, pink has since become his favorite color, and he plans to paint more parts of his home in the shade of Pepto-Bismol pink.
